For lovers of a sherrybomb, Glendronach 21 Parliament. It spent 21 years in a combination of Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez sherry casks. It is a wonderfully deep and rich whisky but it really needs time in the glass to unfold its wonderful taste and maybe one or two drops of water.

• Nose: soft and elegant with sweet sherry aromas, spicy and creamy, biscuits and dried plums
• Palate: full sherried fruit aroma, candied orange covered in dark chocolate with a little hint of nut and cinamon
• Finish: very long, complex and fruity
